No win

Shaune: What do you want for your birthday?

Me: I told you, I don't want anything.

Shaune: No, the last time you said that we got into a big fight.

Me: That's because you literally got me nothing for my birthday.

Shaune throws up his hands and walks away.

  1. LOL. Sounds like a conversation my hubby and I would have. Except I would take Shaune's role! :) Hope you are having a good weekend. ~Sara

  3. What is it with these men who don't pay attention? Why are they all smart, yet so obtuse! oy!

  4. oh, it's hard for the hubbies, isn't it? I like it when you tell them what you want, and then they get you something else, that wasn't quite what you wanted :-)

  5. You are all alike. How will we men ever get it right?

  6. I think men will never "get" us. Sometimes it's the smallest little show of attention that will be the best present of all! Next time give him a huge list of items. Watch his mouth drop when he thinks you're serious:) Enjoy your Saturday!!!

  13. Haha!

The first birthday I had when I was engaged, my husband FORGOT my birthday and then, as a last ditch effort, bought me an iron with a card that he wrote on, "You iron out the wrinkles in my heart." Cute, but I wasn't dying for an iron. Lol!

  14. I do the same thing. Really, they should know by now that "nothing" really means "you think of something".
