Biker gang

We went for our first bike ride today. It isn't super warm here (only about 4 degrees celcius when we went) but we just couldn't wait any longer. Shaune and I treated ourselves to some brand new bikes and I had found this bike trailer on kijiji last fall.

Last year Deaglan was small enough to still nap in the stroller so I walked everywhere. It was great. Now that he's raring to go he hates the jogging stroller and it is more of an excercise in patience than just plain excercise to take him for a walk.

He loved the chariot (bike trailer) and he looked so cute sitting in there with his little helmet on. We kept stopping to make sure he was okay. A friend had told me that when she first took her daughter for a spin she had thrown up. As for Shaune and I it was a pretty good indicator of just how out of shape we let ourselves get over this long Canadian winter.

We're looking forward to a fun spring and summer on the bikes.

  5. You guys look so cute! Deaglan is going to have so much fun in that bike trailer. I wish I did that when my kids were little. Biking is my favorite form of exercise. I have to get back on the bike again soon! Enjoy your rides together:)

This coming Friday's Shoot-Out theme is "MY HOMETOWN'S NATIVE FOODS AND RESTURANT'S".
Just shoot some snaps of of foods that are popular at your house and some of your local resturant's in your town. I's almost like a vacation for free :)
Let me know so that we can add you to our little list of participant's. This is a really easy one the coming week and I think that it will be so interesting to see other peoples yummies.
Hope the bunny dude brings lots of chocky eggs to your house and try to keep your bicycle "gang" uner control. No gang fights please, lol?

  14. That looks like so much fun! We do not own any bikes...but have toyed around with the idea of buying some, along with a bike trailer for our daughter.

Thanks for the comment! Luckily the repair needed for my new sewing machine is covered under its warranty. I was a little bummed because I was working on a skirt and softie toy for my daughter for Easter. My sister is letting me borrow her machine, so we'll see what I can get done today!

You should give yours a try! There are tons of great sites for beginning sewers if you need help.
