Making friends

There is a journal that gets passed back and forth between us and the daycare each day. They write a brief passage about what Deaglan was up to during his day and then we take it home and write down something about our evening. I had to share this entry with you from yesterday:

One of the educators wrote about Deaglan and his little friend Darius:

Deaglan and Darius gave each other a morning hug. It was not long before they were both rolling around on the mat giggling and laughing together.
Deaglan often holds a toy up in the air and babbles loudly. As soon as we look at him he breaks out in a huge smile full of mischief.

  1. That's a wonderful observation for you to keep and share with Deaglan when he's older. Love when kids enjoy each other and giggle in their own secret way:) I think that journal idea is terrific. Such a sweet photo!

  6. That is so cute! My son and his friends at school are very into hugging each other too. It is so adorable to see and it makes me realize he has a whole life and relationships away from me ... which makes me both happy and sad at the same time.

I love that they give you these little updates. How wonderful!

  12. I love hearing about what they've been up to at daycare/preschool. It gives me warm fuzzies to know how happy they are, even when I'm not there.

  13. This stage of development is so fun. Children are becoming much more aware of their peers and making friendships. Enjoy every moment. What a great piece of information to help you "get to know" him outside of home. :)
